Frequently asked questions

Here we answer questions about appointments, prescriptions, cost coverage, locations, service areas and our services.

Appointments & organization

How can I book an appointment with Team Physiologic?

You can book appointments directly by phone or email with the appropriate location in Wilhelmshaven or Wiesmoor. It helps if you mention your prescription, your concern and whether you need physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, pain therapy or training.

How quickly can I get an appointment?

Availability depends on the location, the service you need and the scope of therapy. When you contact us, we will tell you the current options and do our best to consider urgent concerns.

How long does a treatment session take?

The duration depends on the type of therapy, prescription and treatment goal. Physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, equipment-based therapy and lymphatic therapy are scheduled differently. When booking, we will let you know roughly how much time to plan.

What should I do if I cannot attend an appointment?

Please call the relevant location as early as possible if you cannot attend an appointment. This allows us to reschedule together and, where possible, offer the freed time to someone else.

Prescriptions, costs & documents

Do I need a prescription and will health insurance cover the costs?

Many therapeutic services such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, manual therapy, lymph drainage or podiatry are provided on medical prescription. Cost coverage and possible co-payments depend on the prescription, insurance and exemption status. We clarify self-pay services with you in advance.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Please bring any prescriptions, findings, medical reports, relevant imaging or discharge documents. Comfortable clothing and information about current symptoms, medication or previous treatment are also helpful.

Will I have to make a co-payment?

For patients with statutory health insurance, a co-payment may apply depending on the prescription unless an exemption is in place. Private reimbursement and self-pay services depend on the insurance tariff or the agreed scope of service. We clarify the details before treatment begins.

Can I come to Team Physiologic without a medical prescription?

For prescribed therapeutic services, we generally need a medical prescription. Depending on your concern, self-pay services, training, prevention or the specific German framework of restricted Heilpraktik for physiotherapy may be possible. Please clarify this directly with the appropriate location in advance.
